Dryden is full of special events and festivals year round. Moosefest, a new community festival, will be 17 fun-filled days in the summer. Below is a listing of future events in Dryden, Ontario.

Moosefest is a new summer festival in Dryden lasting almost two weeks. The festivals starts off with a the exciting Dryden Walleye Masters Catch and Release Tournament and the Hog & Rod Bike & Car Show. Various entertainment will be available throughout the entire festival. Other events include Canada Day Events, a Windsurfing Regatta, a Teddy Bear Picnic, a Horse Show and a Men's Slo Pitch Tournament. Walleye Masters Tournament is a catch & release tournament usually running near the end of June. There are lot's of cash prizes. Call the Dryden Chamber of Commerce for more information or to register at 807-223-2622

Canada Day Celebrations are held at the Dryden Arena/Cooper Park. There are activities for all ages. Call the Chamber of Commerce for more information at 807-223-2622.

The Dryden Dragon Boat Festival is held in early July each year at Skene's Landing. The races are held on the Wabigoon River in support of local breast cancer initiatives and programs. For more information contact: Brad Coles (807) 223-3424

Quarter Horse Show is held in early July at the Agricultural Society Fairgrounds.

The Teddy Bear Picnic is held at Pronger Park in July. Children can participate in games and story time, meet some of their favourite cartoon bears, have cake with Smokey Bear and make crafts.

Max the Moose's Birthday is held in the third week in July. Everybody welcome. Crafts, games, cake and more.

In-Fisherman Professional Walleye Trail is held near the end of July. The City of Dryden, in partnership with the Dryden District Chamber of Commerce, is excited to be the host community of the In-Fisherman Professional Walleye Trail, Elite Super Pro Tournament to be held on the Wabigoon Chain of Lakes. We warmly welcome anglers, both professional and amateur, as well as spectators to Northwestern Ontario for this first-ever held Canadian event.

Scarecrow Festival is held in October. Scarecrow registrations can be picked up at the Dryden Chamber of Commerce from October 1 to October 15. Judging will take place Mid October, the same weekend as the Retail Promotion weekend. For more information, please call the chamber at 807-223-2622.

Santa Claus Parade is held towards the end of November.
