Special Events and Festivals in Dryden, Ontario, Canada

Dryden is full of special events and festivals year round. Moosefest, a new community festival, will be 17 fun-filled days in the summer. Below is a listing of future events in Dryden, Ontario.

Conservation Club Sports and Home Show is held usually around the third week in April. Contact Ed Burgstaler at 807-938-6943

Moosefest is packed with exciting signature events and and plenty of local entertainment.... "Dryden's own summer festival". Join us for a month long of MooseFest in our Wilderness City....Dryden, Ontario. Call (807) 221-FEST (3378) for more information or email info@moosefest.ca

The Shaw Walleye Masters Tournament is a catch & release tournament usually running near the end of June. There are lot's of cash prizes.

Canada Day Celebrations are held at the Dryden Arena/Cooper Park. There are activities for all ages. Call the Chamber of Commerce for more information at 807-223-2622.

Windsurfing Regatta is held in the beginning of July at Johnson Beach on Thunder Lake.. This is a FUN regatta for all levels!! FREE lessons for kids and adults. For further info contact: Brad Woodworth 807-937-6565 or Paul Matousek 807-737-3673.

The Dryden Dragon Boat Festival is held in early July each year at Skene's Landing. The races are held on the Wabigoon River in support of local breast cancer initiatives and programs. For more information contact: Brad Coles (807) 223-3424

Quarter Horse Show is held in early July at the Agricultural Society Fairgrounds.

The Teddy Bear Picnic is held at Pronger Park in July. Children can participate in games and story time, meet some of their favourite cartoon bears, have cake with Smokey Bear and make crafts.

Max the Moose's Birthday is held in the third week in July. Everybody welcome. Crafts, games, cake and more.

Dryden Fall Fair is held at the end of August each year. Contact the Agricultural Society at 807-223-6766 for more information.

Home & Trade Show is held in the first to second week in September. Contact the Chamber of Commerce at 807-223-2622 for more information.

Scarecrow Festival is held in October. Scarecrow registrations can be picked up at the Dryden Chamber of Commerce from October 1 to October 15. Judging will take place Mid October, the same weekend as the Retail Promotion weekend. For more information, please call the chamber at 807-223-2622.

Santa Claus Parade is held towards the end of November.
