The Ear Falls Cross Country Ski Trails begin behind the Northern Eagle Transitional School and stretch for 12 kms. The vast network of trails provides a choice of routes for everyone from beginner skiers to the much more advanced, and all routes provide beautiful scenery. There is a great sliding hill for the kids located at the Sportsplex on Scott Street.
Snowmobile Trails:
The Ear Falls area has a network of snow mobile trails stretching for hundreds of miles. The trails are operated by the White Knights Snow-machine Club and the trails include the border to border Trans Canada Provincial Trail System.
Ice Fishing:
Some of the resorts and lodges in the area stay open for the winter. You can go ice fishing for a variety of species including lake trout, walleye and northern pike. You can also stay at a hotel or motel in the area.
