Trophy Hunts in Ignace, Ontario

Ignace, Ontario is located on Highway 17 about halfway between Thunder Bay and Kenora. The big game hunting opportunities are everywhere. You can hunt for black bear, moose, grouse and wolves. Much of the hunting lands are road accessible and public property. You can plan your own trip or use the services of experienced outfitters. The outfitters will provided everything from trip planning and accommodations to complete fully guided hunting packages. Depending on the species you are hunting, you can stay at full-service resorts, housekeeping cabins, campgrounds or hotels and motels. Ignace is located in the Wildlife Management Areas (WMU) 12A and 15A. South of Highway 17 is WMU 2A and north of Highway 17 is WMU 15A. Some outfitters also are located to the west of Ignace and can hunt WMU 9A and 5.
