Kenora Resorts, Lodges and Outposts

Kenora, Ontario is located on the north end of Lake of the Woods. Lake of the Woods has 65,000 miles of shoreline and over 14,500 islands. Lake of the Woods is known for its variety of fish as well as the quality of fishing. You can fish for walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, muskie, crappie and lake trout. There are several resorts and lodges to choose from on Lake of the Woods. You can drive to many of them, or for a real secluded place, try a boat-in resort on one of the many islands dotting the lake. Families will love the area - you can cruise the lake and stop for a dip at one of the numerous beaches around. Coney Island and Scotty's are two fantastic beaches to visit.

Kenora is home to many air services that will fly you into northern outpost cabins or full-service lodges for your fishing trip. You can fly into outpost lakes such as Brown Bear, Carroll, Chase, Craven, Delaney, Duck, Fletcher, Gordon, Hammerhead, Joe, Kilburn, Lount, McCusker, Nance, Norse, Obukowin, Pickerel, Roger, Scenic, Snowshoe, Trapline, Treeline, Wallace and the Gammon and English Rivers. You can also fly into American Plan lodges from Kenora. Some of theses resorts are on Delaney, Fletcher, Lount, Maynard and Rowdy Lakes.
