Kenora has more than 50 restaurants offering a wide selection of meals. Many of the hotels have a restaurant in their establishment. The stand alone restaurants in Kenora and Keewatin range from fast food chains to ethnic restaurants to pizza places to home style cooking.

Kenora has many ethnic restaurant choices. Choose between two Greek restaurants ( Dino's and The Plaza), Italian (Ristorante Pizzeria Italia) or one of two Chinese Food Restaurants (Ho Ho's and Hing's). There are many chain restaurants like Casey's Bar & Grill, Boston Pizza, Pizza Hut and Chicken Chef. Fast Food chains include A&W, KFC, McDonalds, Subway and Quizno's. Chester Fried Chicken can be found at the Sunset Strip Husky on the east side of town, and at the Lakeview Restaurant/Co-Op heading west. For some special treats unique to Kenora, you can dine at the Waterside Restaurant in the Best Western Inn & Conference Centre. The Restaurant is located on the top floor of this round hotel. You'll be amazed at the view of Lake of the Woods you'll see from the dining room. Another dining option is to take a cruise aboard the M.S. Kenora. They have a lunch and dinner cruise. The M.S. Kenora provides comfortable dining and beverage service on the main and lower level decks, complete with large picture windows to enjoy the view while you dine. Bar service is also available on the upper promenade deck. Another Kenora tradition is heading to one of the "Chip Trucks" in the City. These are the best tasting french fries ever. A must if you are coming to Kenora. The Log Cabin Tavern, a long time Kenora favorite and known for its wings and "Bloomin' Onion, has volleyball during the summer months.

If you're travelling on a holiday or on a Sunday some of the restaurants do close. but the restaurants in the hotels are usually always open. Enjoy a meal at Yesterday's Restaurant in the Travelodge, the Forest Room in the Day's Inn, Kee-West Restaurant in the Kee-West Motel, Lakeview Restaurant at the Lakeview Motel, Sinbad's Restaurant and the Uptown Cafe in the Kenricia Hotel in downtown Kenora, and The Bistro in the Southview Inn.

Bakeries and Coffee Shops

Are you craving a good cup of coffee? There is a Tim Horton's, B's Donuts, Shefield's Gourmet in the Mall and Ho Joe's Coffee & Books for your delicious cup of coffee. Second Street Bakery will also satisfy your sweet tooth. They have both good desserts as well as homemade breads, buns and sandwiches.

Outdoor Patios in Kenora

If you're visiting Kenora in the summer, you can't beat eating a meal on a patio in the sunshine. Hap's Bar & Grill is located on the Harbourfront and has a large patio. You'll also find outdoor patios at Ristorante Pizzeria Italia, Casey's Bar & Grill, Mrs D's Chip Truck and Pizza Hut. Quizno's, Ho-Joe's and Nibbler's Nook all also have a table or two outside.

Pubs & Bars in Kenora

Kenora has a quite a few bars and taverns to wet your whistle. Downtown bars include Hap's on the Harbourfront, the Whistling Monkey, the Eagle's Nest, Shooters, and on the weekends, the Plaza Restaurant is open late and often brings in Entertainment. The Best Western Lakeside Inn has the Waterside Lounge with a great view of Lake of the Woods, Thirsty's Dining Lounge is in the Kenora Travelodge, the lounge at the Day's Inn, and you can have a drink at Casey's Bar & Grill if you are staying at the Super 8.
