Road Accessible Trout Lakes Around Kenora

Some of the lakes surrounding Kenora have spectacular lake trout fishing. If you are heading east on Highway 17, you can fish Longbow Lake, which has both resorts and campgrounds. Continue on Highway 17 towards Vermilion bay and you can fish Richard and Willard Lakes. Take Highway 71 south to reach lakes such as Dogtooth, Dryberry and Andy Lake. Highwind Lake is known for its great trout fishing. The lake is clear with depths of over 200 feet. North of Kenora, drive just a short 20 minutes to get to Reddit where you can fish surrounding lakes.

Fly into a remote trout lake. Canada has lot's of remote lakes. You can fish for trout at the following outpost lakes: Populus Lake, Trout lake and the English River. Fly-in fishing for the day is also available from the air services.
