Located about 45 minutes north of Kenora, Minaki is a beautiful resort town. Take Highway 596 north off of the Kenora By-pass (Highway 17A). The region has a number of quality resorts, lodges and campgrounds. Area lakes and rivers, including the mighty Winnipeg and English River Systems, offer tremendous fishing for walleye, muskie, northern pike and bass. Hunting opportunites are some of the best in Ontario with large populations of deer, black bear, and huge moose in the areas north of the town.
Minaki also has great cross-country skiing and mountain bike trails as well as rock climbing.
