Sioux Lookout Blueberry Festival & Other Events

Sioux Lookout has many events for both residents and visitors. Take part in one of the many competitions and tournaments or come out to to enjoy the show. Sioux Mountain Winter Festival - Last weekend in January
The Sioux Mountain Winter Festival takes place annually the last weekend in January and we would like you to be a part of it! This annual festival celebrates all that winter and Sioux Lookout have to offer - the warmth of hot chocolate (or fiery hot chili) and great company! For three fun filled days you can enjoy the activities morning till night. Some of the events each year include a Caribbean Dinner, Snow Sculpting contest, Snow Ball Luncheon, Chamber Chili Challenge, Cross Country Ski Poker, Spaghetti Dinner, Magic Card Tournament, Curling at Hudson Rink, Mixed Doubles Darts Tournament, Torchlight Parade, Family Fun Skate, Arm Wrestling Competition, Mini Pow Wow, Snow Sculpting Judging, Pancake Breakfast, Story Telling & Book Sale, Snow Snakes, Rock Kicking and Indian Leg Wrestling & Smoosh Races. Sioux Lookout Blueberry Festival - Annual 10 day event in early August
With over 100 events each year, the Sioux Lookout Blueberry Festival is a great summer celebration attracting thousands of visitors from Northwestern Ontario, Canada and the U.S. Many of the events allow participants and spectators to enjoy the beautiful lakes, beaches and scenery. Some of the events offered annually are the Sioux Mountian Music and Cultural Festival, the Chamber of Commerce Trade Show, golf, tennis fastball and bocce tournaments, the Blueberry Triathlon, a car rally, the Rotary Pancake Breakfast, children's activities and much more.
