Sunset Country in Northwestern OntarioSunset Country is a destination that defines the word "wilderness" and with our many Provincial Parks, the opportunities for great wilderness camping are everywhere. For families, staying at a more modern campsite within a park is probably your best bet, but for those who want to venture out into the backcountry, there's 60,000 square miles of lakes and forest - pick your spot! You'll have the opportunity to fish, hike and enjoy outdoor hobbies such as nature photography. There are many species of plants and animals in the northern boreal forest.

In addition to our awesome Ontario camping, you can add adventure to your trip by embarking on a wilderness canoe trip along Canadian Canoe Routes that are some of the best in the world. Our member canoe outfitters, can set you up on a fully-guided trip or, if you want to be on your own, an un-guided canoe expedition through a vast landscape of pine trees and blue water. Many famous canoe parks are located in Sunset Country including Quetico Park, Wabakimi, Woodland Caribou, Turtle River, and the most remote of all, Polar Bear Provincial Park along the saltwater coast of Hudson Bay. Rivers such as the Berens, Sutton, Winisk and Albany beckon the true outdoor adventurer - are you up to the challenge?
