MS Kenora on Lake of the Woods There's many exciting things to do and attractions to see in Kenora, the largest city on Lake of the Woods. Start your Kenora vacation at the harbourfront where you'll find a tourist information centre to help you plan your vacation. Take a stroll along the greenbelt on the water to McLeod Park. At McLeod Park, you'll see "Husky the Muskie", a tug boat, beautiful gardens, and the Goodwill Geyser, a huge geyser spouting water every 15 minutes during the summer months. The M.S. Kenora, a cruise ship, tours Lake of the Woods daily. There are also many other attractions and activities in Kenora. Visit the many public beaches in the area where you'll find great sand beaches and playgrounds. The city is a golfer's paradise. Kenora offers two 18 hole golf courses, a 10 hole golf course as well as a driving range with 4 additional holes. Historical buffs will love the Lake of the Woods museum and the Mather Walls Historical House. The following are the main attractions in Kenora.

McLeod Park: On the Kenora greenbelt across from the Harbourfront. Attractions include the famous "Husky the Muskie", Tug Boat James McMillan and the Goodwill Geyser.

MS Kenora: Located at the Harbourfront. This ship cruises daily on beautiful Lake of the Woods. Lunch and Dinner cruises are available.

Lake of the Woods Museum: One of the finest small museums in Canada. The museum was established in 1964 to collect, preserve, research, exhibit and interpret objects that best illustrate the founding, settlement and development of the community and area. Today, this well-established museum is home to a varied and intriguing collection of artifacts and local history archives, which serve not only as a basis for the permanent exhibits but also for changing thematic displays and special events. Come and explore our history with a visit to the Lake of the Woods Museum. Located at 300 Main Street S.

Matherwalls House: Located in Keewatin at 116 Ottawa Street.

Lake of the Woods Railroad Museum: Located on Lakeview Drive at the junction of Highway 596. Order an ice cream next door at Dairy Queen and enjoy it at the benches surrounding the restored caboose. Kenora Mural Depicting Canadian Logging Industry

Heritage Townscapes: 20 Mural depictions history of Kenora. As you walk through the city you'll see the many beautiful murals on the sides of the buildings.
