Winnange Lake Provincial Park is located between Dryden and Kenora, about 60 km west of Dryden along Highway 17. The terrain of the park is made up of bedrock knolls and ridges, sedimentary deposits, and wave-washed bedrock. These are the calling cards of the postglacial Lake Agassiz that once covered this area. This rugged tract of land, which surrounds Winnange Lake, also features many ponds and swamps, and a 500-metre-long sand beach. The park is undeveloped without any facilities or conveniences, and no roads lead into its interior. many canoeists find it very peaceful and secluded. Park Class: Natural Environment Winnange Lake Provincial Park is located west of Dryden along the Trans Canada Highway.
